HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
STUDIO NEWS
I believe the future of art is human made; full of beautiful flaws and poignant truths.
We cannot give up these dreams despite the seemingly overwhelming forces designed to crush our spirits. Hand made art has never been more needed.
A son makes one final drive to the ocean with his mother’s ashes, retracing fragments of the past along the way.
Unknown to him, Miso the cat sneaks into the car and quietly joins the journey, becoming an unexpected companion through grief, memory, love, and healing.
Be sure to grab the limited slipcover edition with a gorgeous illustration by Bela Unclecat! I was so thrilled when she agreed to do this illustration for the release, being one of my favorite illustrator/animators.
As of right now, this is the only way to see our film. I am of the mind that this film works best when not interrupted by relentless ads, so have been hesitant to agree to distribution on streamers. Still looking for that future streaming home that will treat the film well.
I can't wait to get my own copy!
July Update
Greetings!
Lots to talk about this month.
The big news is that my short film Brambletown, made with the Okee Dokee Brothers is debuting on PBS Kids!
The project, a full year in the making, tells the story of Fox and Badger, two friends returning home to find a changed Brambletown. The film is an emotional and ultimately hopeful look at the roles we play in each other's lives, our own self discovery, handling life's curve balls, the impact we have on our environment, and our ability to create change. Did I mention it is BURSTING with wonderful music?
The next bit of news comes in the form of an official acceptance to a film festival in my hometown of El Paso, The El Paso Film Festival! Woohoo! My two parter music video Carry The Spark, made for the amazing group Coyote Reverie, is going to grace the silver screen in late September. I am extremely proud of this one and cannot wait to share the epic tale real soon.
Lastly, I'd be remiss to mention the completion of Papercuts, which is now out to festivals! Hoo boy, this one... it's something extra special. A true labor of diy filmmaking and easily the most personal project to date. Look for news on screenings (fingers crossed) in the coming months.
May Update
There's been a lot going on in the studio lately. I am wrapping a sweet new music video consisting of some of the most detailed nature work I've done yet. So fun! I am also chipping away at Papercuts and recently surpassed the hour mark! Getting close. Some good news is on the way from the Brambletown project I worked on all of 2022 as well and a very special double feature music video I completed last year is going to be released soon.
I'm still looking for a home for When You Get To The Forest. I remain hopeful that we will be able to share this very special feature with you soon. Patience has always been the name of the game in this wild world of animation and it's almost time for all that patience to pay off. Can't wait to share these films with you all!

Join him on a journey through all the highs and lows of a life dedicated to the wonderful world of animation.
The film screened in numerous festivals in 2024 & 2025. It won Honorable Mention at the Niigata Animation Festival in 2025 and won Best Documentary at Indy Film Fest the same year!
STILLS
The Brake Lights - Stumble
Get in the spirit of all things spooky as a mansion full of ghosts and ghouls revel in their mischievousness.
Directed & Animated by Eric Power
The Brake Lights - Stumble
off their LP "Starstruck"
Raen - Red Blue Gold
Raen - Red Blue Gold
I had a ton of fun creating this highly abstract music video for Raen's song Red Blue Gold off their upcoming LP Burning Suns.
I've had a special place in my heart for abstract art, particularly the geometric heavy stylings of suprematism. It's been a long time since I've exercised this muscle. I hope you enjoy!
You can check out their music and learn a bit more about the musicians from their website:

TEASER POSTER FOR POSSIBLE NEW FILM
OFFICIAL TRAILER: BRAMBLETOWN
Check out the official trailer for BRAMBLETOWN!
I've been working for a year in collaboration with The Okee Dokee Brothers on an epic visual album based on stories from their new album of the same name. We've created a wonderful enchanted forest filled with characters and tales I am sure will capture the imaginations of children everywhere. I pulled out all the stops for this one, incorporating felt, silhouette, sand, and (of course) paper stop motion to bring these brambly woods to life.
Look for more news on the release in the coming months!
WHEN YOU GET TO THE FOREST
When You Get To The Forest is currently seeking distribution. In the meantime, check out this mini making of documentary about the year long process of creating our film!
WHEN YOU GET TO THE FOREST COMING TO THEATERS!

When You Get To The Forest News
There's a bit to share these days regarding our new film!
The first bit of big news is that the film won the Special Jury Award at Hiroshima Animation Season! We are thrilled by this, of course.
Secondly, the film was selected to screen at the Montreal International Film Festival ANIMAZE! Yay! This one takes place November 18-20 and will contain a virtual component allowing anyone to check out the film for a reasonable price. Not too shabby!
I'm working hard to find new ways to share our film with the world. I've got some fun stuff in the works that I will be releasing soon!
MAINE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
WHEN YOU GET TO THE FOREST will have its WORLD PREMIERE at the MAINE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL!!
The film screens Wednesday July 13th @ 3:00 PM & again on Sunday July 17th at noon.
The festival also has a virtual option where the film will be available to stream from the 13th - 17th. More information about the festival can be found on their official website.
WHEN YOU GET TO THE FOREST
I
am beyond thrilled to officially announce WHEN YOU GET TO THE FOREST,
the next feature animated film I've had the pleasure to make with
Andreas Petersen, John Dixon, and our producing partners at Pathfinder Media I'm excited to share upcoming screenings such as this one in Hiroshima, taking place in mid August!
The
film is unlike anything I've made so far, both in style and substance.
I'm looking forward to sharing more in the coming months. Yay!!
