BIG NEWS!

I am very pleased to announce the release of Brambletown on PBS Kids!

This 34 minute short film was a joy to work on with the Okee Dokee Brothers providing an amazing sandbox to play in with their incredible album & Natalie Engel lending her knack for bringing all the narrative threads together like some sorta magician! The film also features the vocal talents of Gwendolyn Briley-Strand who gently brings us along on the misadventures of Fox and Badger.

I hope you and your family enjoy our little neck of the woods.

Find it wherever you watch PBS Kids. Like HERE for instance, where you can not only watch the film, but also a cool behind the scenes video and clips of the many musical numbers!

See you in the brambles!

 FEATURED FILM

Embark upon a perilous journey through both time and space, while whole worlds hang in the balance. Animated and populated with the beautiful paper cut art of Eric Power and set to captivating new music by Coyote Reverie, this is a tale of perseverance in the face of changing times, a call to stand up and fight for the things you believe in, an adventure wrought with loss and redemption, close calls, long shots, and the very essence of doing everything it takes to save the home you love. Follow our heroine as she navigates the space/time spectrum and the cyclical nature of all things, in search of a way to save the home she loves.

DIRECTOR'S NOTES

I was beyond excited to dive into this wonderful and terrifying world after hearing the incredible songs off Coyote Reverie's new album. Jesse and I spoke about a cyclical music video, one that could forever rotate in an unbroken chain. I took that seed of an idea along with the striking and powerful messages of both tracks and our sci fi/fantasy world began to take shape. A tale about overcoming the greatest of odds and fighting back in the face of hate and oppression is where our story begins. The horrifying reality about where our fantasy world is headed allowed me to explore my own thoughts and fears surrounding AI as we soon discover the true intent of the oppressors - creating a world stripped of humanity and life. Throw in a troubled android with ancient DNA, a bit of time travel shenanigans, and a touch of good ole fashioned fantasy for good measure. Welcome to our world. Bring your spark.

As always, hand cut and stop motion animated! Thank you for watching.

July Update

 Greetings!

Lots to talk about this month.

The big news is that my short film Brambletown, made with the Okee Dokee Brothers is debuting on PBS Kids!

The project, a full year in the making, tells the story of Fox and Badger, two friends returning home to find a changed Brambletown. The film is an emotional and ultimately hopeful look at the roles we play in each other's lives, our own self discovery, handling life's curve balls, the impact we have on our environment, and our ability to create change. Did I mention it is BURSTING with wonderful music?

The next bit of news comes in the form of an official acceptance to a film festival in my hometown of El Paso, The El Paso Film Festival! Woohoo! My two parter music video Carry The Spark, made for the amazing group Coyote Reverie, is going to grace the silver screen in late September. I am extremely proud of this one and cannot wait to share the epic tale real soon.

Lastly, I'd be remiss to mention the completion of Papercuts, which is now out to festivals! Hoo boy, this one... it's something extra special. A true labor of diy filmmaking and easily the most personal project to date. Look for news on screenings (fingers crossed) in the coming months.

May Update

There's been a lot going on in the studio lately. I am wrapping a sweet new music video consisting of some of the most detailed nature work I've done yet. So fun! I am also chipping away at Papercuts and recently surpassed the hour mark! Getting close. Some good news is on the way from the Brambletown project I worked on all of 2022 as well and a very special double feature music video I completed last year is going to be released soon.

I'm still looking for a home for When You Get To The Forest. I remain hopeful that we will be able to share this very special feature with you soon. Patience has always been the name of the game in this wild world of animation and it's almost time for all that patience to pay off. Can't wait to share these films with you all!

Papercuts!

Papercuts is wrapped and in the process of submitting to festivals. If you run a fest and are interested in a screener, please contact me. I'd be thrilled to share!
