David Newman - Peace and Love

I had a lot of fun making this sweet video for a sweet song. The message of the song is something I feel has real resonance. It was a pleasure to spread a bit of love with this one. David Newman - Peace and Love from Eric Power on Vimeo.

Best Fiends Forever Stop Motion

Check out this rad stop motion animation I made for Seriously's game Best Fiends Forever!  It was fun to make.  A bit of a behind the scenes: that's my hand and quite a bit of my own voice trying to sound like the slugs.  I shaved my hand for the shoot, it's still growing back!  :D

2016 Stop Motion DEMO REEL

I put together a demo reel showcasing my work in recent years. It's been a while since I've done this and it's kind of cool to be able to see all the various styles edited together in one video! Special shout out to my favorite composer John Dixon for The Inventor proof of concept score I'm using here. It's really awesome to be able to hear this isolated from the sound design of the trailer. So, I suggest watching the animated reel then going back and rewatching with your eyes closed to fully immerse yourself in the sound. Check out his other work here: www.manybirthdays.net Oh and hire me if you need fantastic animation!

Life on Paper - Postpartum

Birth is a crazy thing. Now, what happens after birth is also quite intense. In episode 3 of Life on Paper we take a look at the postpartum period and Alicia's recovery from a very dramatic birth experience and c-section. Also, the shock of being parents starts to set in.

Several Production Diaries were produced documenting the process of making the scene. You can view them here.
In 2016 we made the first teaser trailer for the film. This is the result! For continuity, it takes place a little before the above scene.

WHAT'S NEW WITH ERIC?

Hey everyone!
I wanted to take a moment to write a quick update about the goings on here in the studio.  I am about to launch a HUGE campaign to begin production on my second feature animated film; The Inventor!  This one is VERY different from Path of Blood and is a project I've been wanting to make for almost 10 years.  I will discuss it in more detail soon, so look for news on it!
In Path of Blood news, I am happy to say I am working with a distributor to get the film a proper release on Blu Ray and other digital platforms.  I worked on a ton of bonus content for the film, such as an in depth making of documentary as well as a commentary track.  I'm crazy excited to share it all with you, but it's still a little ways off.
I have also been working with a team from California on something very big, but that's all I can say about it at this time... :O
My latest animated content is, of course, my continuation of the Life on Paper series (see below post).  I'm quite fond of it, so give it a look!
Check back soon.  2016 is going to be incredible!  Oh, I had a son three days ago too! :D

LIFE ON PAPER - BIRTH STORY

An autobiographical stop motion animated film depicting the dramatic birth of my daughter Lily!  I hope you enjoy this simple and sweet story.  It was a blast working on it.
